Mindfulness may not sound like anything new to you, but a more important question is, what even is mindfulness? Throughout the busy lives many of us lead, how does one actually achieve this?
Starting on April 12, 2021, we will be hosting our first virtual mindfulness group session, hoping to answer some of these questions! As a neurological rehabilitation company, the goal of our Mindful Living group at Mind Connections is to provide education and evidence based practice on how invaluable a tool mindfulness is in recovery of clients living with chronic pain, mood disorders or any other individuals looking to incorporate mindfulness into their lives. We hope to demonstrate how effective mindfulness can be for our daily lives, and in managing stressful emotions, especially amidst the additional negative impacts of COVID-19 on mental health. Our first session will consist of an introduction to Mindfulness, a guided meditation and deep breathing exercises. Following our first session we will have three more, once a week on Zoom. Please email Hayley Chan at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up or with questions regarding the group. #mentalhealth #depression #anxiety
